This workshop will focus on several things that impact how we interact and react to things in our lives. We will look at why our brains are hardwired for negativity and how we can strengthen our neural pathways to change and grow. Focus will be on individual strengths and how we use them daily. We will look at our amygdala and neuroplasticity and we will discuss the ways we experience awe and wonder.

In this session we will identify key developmental tasks and challenges of young adulthood, including identity formation, autonomy, and relationship development. Apply effective clinical strategies and engagement techniques when working with young adult clients navigating transitional life stages. Demonstrate cultural humility and recognize the impact of intersecting identities in the lives of young adults from diverse backgrounds and Assess the psychological and developmental impacts of global and societal stressors on young adult clients, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, political instability, and ongoing conflict.
