Systemic oppression and discrimination have deleterious mental health impacts on LGBTGEQ+ populations, increasing distress and internalized stigma which can be intensified with the introduction and passage of persecutory, anti-LGBTQ+ legislation/policy as is occurring in North Carolina. In this training, you will learn about the laws targeting the gender expansive community, the relevant literature, and about counselor, community and client healing. You will also explore strategies to support client resilience and liberation within a sociopolitical climate of violence that impacts all facets of living, wellness, and being.
